Friends of Cecil Road (PTA)
The Friends of Cecil Road is a very good way to bring everyone together to support the school. Our aim is to raise extra funds for the children of Cecil Road. For example, raising funds to supply new equipment for the nursery and classrooms as well as plants for the playgrounds.
Everyone is welcome to come to meetings to give contributions to what we plan to
do and offer their help -
Not only do we arrange fundraising for the school, we also aim to plan social events for parents and children. All the money raised will go towards Cecil Road Primary & Nursery School.

Newsletter -
Welcome to the first newsletter of 2012. I know Christmas seems ages ago, but I wish to say a big thank you to all those who helped at the gift sales and discos last year. Once again with your help and support they were a huge success. The gift sale was well worth seeing all the children happily choosing your special presents. The discos were great fun with the children getting in the spirit of Halloween in their spooky costumes. Well done to the winners of the best costumes. At the Christmas disco we had Santa visit with presents and loads of fun. With your support we raised just over £1000 at the gift sales and a combined total of £1300 for both discos.
Bags2School raised £136 just from unwanted clothes, so thank you and another collection
will be arranged. I will let you know the date as soon as possible -
Hopefully we can organise some more events this year and also have some new members and helpers for the upcoming events. If you can spare any time and would like to get involved with Friends feel free to contact me, Nicki Love or Louise Cook either in the playground or leaving your details in the office and I will arrange to have a char and get you involved.
